My house is in the middle of a huge fall clean-out all unused stuff.
My oldest, Chloe started school full time today since she adjusted so well to the Pre-school for high functioning Autistic children. Every day she amazes us with new words and more constructive ways to express her emotion through appropriate behaviors.
My youngest is teething like mad and is the pickiest eater.
My business is still staying busy and every day we either have an appointment or event to attend.
Busy busy busy.
So here is my dilemma. I am sick.
When I was a child I received extra care,
The whole works. Soups and juice the way I like it and all I had to do was
sleep, eat some and watch tv.
I am sure we all received care when we were sick, but now things are different.
I have duties, responsibilities, expectations (this line alone you will know if you are a mother lol)
I have a mile long list of things that absolutely need to get done.
But my bosy is shaky and weak. I can barely breathe after my coughing attacks
and sleep is not something I am getting nearly at all right now.
What to do, what to do.
Sleep and rest and live with knowing that my responsibilities have been neglected.
Or take all my vitamins, and trudge on though the day so I can maybe rest tomorrow?
Oh the dilemma's of a Mother.
What do you do when you are sick?
On a side note.

I'm so sorry you are sick...
ReplyDeleteBut one thing, I'm afraid, that I've learned over many years of being a mom (and now a soon to be grandma of twins), is that your time of allowance for being ill is about as slim as a piece of tissue paper! Seriously!
But you should never neglect yourself, no matter how difficult it is at home, as it will make you more sick. That is the true dilemma of a mother; when to put yourself 1st even though you don't want to or because you feel selfish.
But what is selfish is not taking care of yourself so you aren't well for a longer period of time...I hope you catch my drift!
Get better and I hope you are able to take 5 for yourself!
