Weightloss Monday + Work out tips

I have good news! I lost weight!!!! Finally the work I am putting in is paying off. This week since I actually lost weight I decided to write about what I did differently that caused the weightloss. I guess I don't have to write much because all I did was put in more effort. I was watching biggest loser last week during my work out's {which is unbelievably motivating} and I realized that I will only get the results I want by putting in equal effort. If I am not seeing results, it's because I am not putting in enough effort. What I did about that was increase my elliptical machine time from an average of 40-45 minutes and amped it up to 50-65 minutes. Plus I added 10 more minutes to my strength training. Now I am doing about a hour and a half of working out straight. It's a lot of time, but I am seeing results and have been so happy lately. Those endorphin's are pumping and I am seeing myself shrinking. It's awesome. Needless to say I truly learned a lesson. You get what you give.

Watch something interesting. For me it's usually a movie I will launch on my laptop in my work out room, or my iphone's abc.com app. This week I was all about watching biggest loser. I like to watch stuff with hot people or super inspiring stuff.

If you are a snacker like me, make a literal barrier between you and the kitchen. It may seem silly, but it totally works.

Works of wisdom. Keep them up and in your head. I am forgetful and so I like to have them up on my fridge, or in my bathroom when I wake up. Where ever I go I can remember the words. Use them. They are so powerful and can change everything.

Never get comfortable. I get this way and wonder why I am not seeing results. Pushing yourself is a life lesson for everyday things but most importantly in your work out. Push yourself. You won't regret it.

Reward yourself. Not with food {You are not a dog}. I would love to reward my self with clothes and stuff, but I don't have cash to do this. My reward with of course be my results I see, but also making time to make something for myself. I always make things for the shop or my girls but I can't remember the last time I made something for myself. I really want a new make up bag for the up and coming vacation, so I am making time this week to do just that. Another reward I would like to make time for {if I lose weight} would be a bubble bath. Wine + bubbles + bath + me + a book = A On Earth Heaven.

No More Boring Saturdays

Photobucket
Saturdays can get pretty boring in our house. Me and my hubby are usually so tired from the week, we take turns sleeping in and or napping. Yep, you read right. We are boring. We play with the kids and maybe do a house project or two. The kids are getting bigger and more and more active every day so I realized that I need to make our weekends EPIC. Not every weekend of course because we as parents do need to unwind from these long weeks, but today I am listing free local things to do. The goal is to do one of them each Saturday.

1. Farmers Market. We eat fruit a lot. Take the kids and make it fun and a learning experience.
2. Find the sheep. Our city has sheep that graze on the grass to fend off summer fires, so you can drive around and find a huge heard of sheep.
3. Hit the Mall's play zone. Get the kids out of the heat but sill enjoy play time.
4. Go to the library. take the kids to the library for a short period of time. Pick out books and come back home. they might be little, but they can pick out books.
5. Movie night in the park. It happens every Friday night a few towns away. Make the effort and go.
6. Find an empty park and play on it with the kiddo's. Basically turn yourself into a kid.
7. Find a lake and visit. Show the kids the fish and water.
8. Go for a long family walk.
9. Visit a children's Museum {When we have the $}
10. Invite yourself over to a friends house. First must make a friend. lol.

I will think of more and maybe update this list next week and show what we did today.

Hunting for friendship.

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

Tears. I just found out that my friend {practically my only friend} is moving out of state. She is moving because of an awesome opportunity and I am so happy for her and her family, but when I found out I seriously cried. I had many friends back in my party day's. I was the life of the party, but things have changed. I know this is bad, but back in the day when I was a smoker I made new friends by smoking circle that were created everywhere we went. Someone would lite one and everyone who smokes would follow. I am no longer a smoker and I don't go out and party anymore so I feel like I am new at making friends. I'm not sure I really know how beside just making conversation. So, I decided to do what I do best. Research. I gathered the best tip's for making friends and over the next few weeks I am going to work on it, try them out and see what happens.

How to Make Friends Via Internet Research {Boy O' boy, do I feel like a nerd}

1. Be yourself. Everyone else is taken. -Oscar De La Renta
2. Dress your best. You never know who you will run into.
3. Be unforgettable. when you engage in a conversation make them want more.
4. The only way to have a friend, is to be one. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
5. Go places you like to go to meet friends {AKA the park with kids. A craft fair or farmers market.          Go boutique shopping}
6. Smile Everywhere you go. Make your body language inviting.

Okay so cheers {I'm holding up my coffee cup and I hope you are too}..."To finding near by friends!" Clink clink.

If any of you awesome readers have suggestions for me, I love options and new ideas.

Eye Spy Tuesday

I spy Tuesday. It's a new idea. I always find that Tuesday's I am staring at a blank screen for a while until I figure out what I want to write about. I decided today that I need a focal point on Tuesday's. {Eye Spy Tuesday's} will be about things I have fallen in love with. It can be moments in life or it can be products I am drawn too. I will test the water with it for the next few Tuesdays and see how it does.

I didn't have a week to think about this so I am going to use my favorite pins from pinterest this week. If you want to pin them yourself, come on over and follow me on pinterest {here}.
